Bay St. Louis leaders crack down on reckless golf cart drivers

BAY ST. LOUIS, MISS. (WLOX) – Bay St. Louis leaders are cracking down on golf cart driving on main roads within the metropolis.

This comes because the Bay St. Louis Police Division has acquired complaints of illegal driving in golf carts.

Bay St. Louis Police Chief Toby Schwartz stated golf cart drivers should observe the identical guidelines as automobile drivers.

“We’ve had a golf cart struck by a motorcar,” Schwartz stated. “Our officers we’ve pulled over golf carts. We now have truly had circumstances of driving underneath the affect.”

Bay St. Louis residents Brenda Noto and Michael Hager stated they journey their golf carts on a regular basis.

They stated they’ve seen erratic habits from golf cart drivers on streets throughout city.
