Greater than 100 play in Particular Olympics Golf Invitational

The twenty fifth annual Monroe County/Southeast Area Particular Olympics Golf Invitational occurred just lately at Monroe Golf and Nation Membership.

Greater than 100 golfers from Monroe, Wayne, Oakland, Washtenaw and Livingston counties participated. The occasion is sponsored by the Kiwanis Membership of Monroe and presents 9 holes of golf in a unified competitors, which pairs an athlete with a Particular Olympics athlete.

Every golfer obtained a medal or award, Dick Sager with Monroe County Particular Olympics stated. Gold and bronze medals additionally have been awarded.

The state golf occasion will happen Sept. 22 in Ypsilanti. Sager stated 26 from Monroe County will attend.

Monroe County Particular Olympics is an all-year program of sports activities coaching and competitors for people with mental disabilities.
