Nebraska soccer participant arrested in Lincoln housebreaking

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A Nebraska Cornhuskers soccer participant is in jail in connection to the housebreaking of a Lincoln liquor and vape store.

Lincoln Police have been dispatched to Sj’s Liquor and Vape Store close to twenty seventh and O Streets round 2 a.m. Tuesday.

On scene, LPD stated the glass door to the shop was shattered by massive cement items from a close-by parking zone.

Police stated officers noticed Arik Gilbert, 21, strolling towards an exit whereas carrying a bag, which was later found to comprise greater than $1,600 value of things, together with vape merchandise, Delta 8, cigars and lighters.

Gilbert was booked into jail for housebreaking.

The sophomore tight finish is a Georgia switch. He was awaiting an eligibility ruling from the NCAA for this season.
